Collector’s Note

This image was made just outside an abandoned coal-powered station hidden in the Teruel Mountains of Aragón. Part of the power station’s original workings, it now stands as a quiet symbol of post-industrial decay — a place where nature and time slowly reclaim what industry left behind. What drew me in was the way the evening sun poured through the broken windows, turning rust, dust, and forgotten machinery into something almost warm and alive. The geometry, shadows, and golden light came together to make this photograph.  

This place now feels suspended between what it was and what it’s becoming — a quiet monument to post-industrial decay. I’ve always been drawn to forgotten buildings like this, places where the air still seems to carry faint echoes of movement, noise, and lives once spent here.
