This image is a study in alignment — a moment where reflection approaches perfection and symmetry becomes absolute.

Following sustained rainfall, the reservoir rose to form a continuous, uninterrupted plane. In rare stillness, the water became a near-perfect mirror, rendering the structure above with striking fidelity below — a direct, natural doubling.

Anchored by a single central support, the composition resolves around a precise vertical axis. Mass and void, light and shadow, structure and reflection align so closely that the boundary between them begins to dissolve.

Captured under heavy cloud in a standard exposure, the image depends entirely on environmental conditions. The absence of disturbance allows the symmetry to fully resolve, while the removal of the horizon reduces the scene to pure form.

Such conditions are fleeting. The slightest movement would fracture the reflection, making this a brief convergence of structure, atmosphere, and surface in near-perfect equilibrium.

Part of an ongoing exploration of rural infrastructure in Aragón, this work reveals the quiet, contemplative presence of utilitarian forms when observed under precise conditions.
